I have the Braun 7570. This seems 2 B an update of it. I threw the base unit away years ago - it was AWFUL! - stank up the whole bathroom with that alcohol solution. It was poorly made &amp; broke when I tried to refill it. Over the last 3 or 4 years I have never missed that base. The shaver works perfectly well &amp; is easy to charge &amp; clean w/o the base.<br /><br />So don&#39;t buy the 3-
